LG디스플레이는 뭐 유명하죠. 디스플레이 만드는 회사입니다. 좋은 기술력을 가지고 있고. 우리나라에서 많은 영향을 미치고 있는 기업입니다. 디스플레이 산업은 또 한국의 비중이 크거든요. 근데 한가지 걱정이 있다면 중국입니다. 중국과의 경쟁이 엄청 격렬합니다.

비참하죠. 그래도 한국에서 디스플레이하면 최고의 기업인데 주가가 이런 것 보면 쉽지않구나 생각합니다. 주가는 계속 떨어지고 있고 고점대비 66%정도 하락한 13,340원에 주식이 거래되고 있습니다.

LG디스플레이의 매출액입니다. 2020년 12월 242,616백만달러, 2021년 12월 298,780백만달러, 2022년 12월 261,518백만달러의 매출액이 발생하고 있습니다. 매출액 꾸준히 상승하다가 2022년에 역성장했습니다.

LG디스플레이의 영업이익입니다. 2020년 12월 (-365)억원, 2021년 12월 22,306억원, 2022년 12월 (-20,850)억원의 영업이익이 발생하고 있습니다. 이쯤되면 LG디스플레이는 영업이익 적자가 디폴트인가? 하는 생각이 듭니다.

LG디스플레이 잘만드는데요. 경쟁이 워낙 치열하다고 합니다. 중국의 값싼 LCD 물량을 어떻게 못한다고 해요. 그래서 OLED로 승부스를 띄우고 있는데요. 이것도 쉽지않아보입니다.

2020년 12월 0원, 2021년 12월 650원, 2022년 12월 0원의 배당금을 지급하고 있습니다. 2021년에 영업이익 흑자전환했고 그때 배당금을 지급했습니다. 그이후로 다시 배당지급을 멈췄습니다.
(It is paying dividends of 0 won in December 2020, 650 won in December 2021, and 0 won in December 2022. Operating profit turned black in 2021 and paid dividends then. It has since stopped paying dividends again.)
아무리 유명한 기업이어도 경쟁은 어떻게 못하는 것 같습니다. 그래서 워런버핏도 압도적인 경쟁력을 가진 기업을 좋아했고요. 이렇게 극도의 경쟁상황에 있는 기업을 보면 기업의 강한 경쟁력이 얼마나 중요한지를 느끼게 됩니다.
(No matter how famous a company is, it doesn't seem to be able to compete. So Warren Buffett also liked companies with overwhelming competitiveness. When you look at companies that are in such extreme competition, you realize how important their strong competitiveness is.)
