First Solar는 미국 태양광 비즈니스를 하는 회사입니다. 한화솔루션과 같은 비즈니스를 하죠. 태양광은 이제 흐름인 것 같습니다. 물론 절대 석유를 대체하지는 못하지만 또 다른 하나의 에너지원으로 수요는 천천히라도 늘어날 것 같습니다. 석유가 곧 고갈된다 고사를 지내지만 석유는 여전히 잘나오고 있습니다.
(First Solar is an American solar company. I do the same business as Hanwha Solution. I think sunlight is the flow now. Of course, it will never replace oil, but another source of energy is likely to increase demand, albeit slowly. We're going to run out of oil soon, but oil is still coming out well.)

주가 상승이 정말 좋습니다. 바이든행정부가 들어오고나서 이렇게 상승한 것 같기도 하고요. 태양광이 석유를 절대 대체하지는 못하지만 그래도 꾸준히 수유고 늘어날 것이라고 시장은 기대하는 것 같습니다. 고점대비 17%정도 하락한 191.26$에 주식이 거래되고 있습니다.
(The stock price increase is really good. It seems to have risen like this since the Biden administration came in. Solar power can never replace oil, but the market seems to expect that it will continue to feed and increase. The stock is trading around 17% lower than its high point at $191.26.)

First Solar의 매출액입니다. 2020년 12월 2,711백만달러, 2021년 12월 2,923백만달러, 2022년 12월 2,619백만달러의 매출액이 발생하고 있습니다. 매출액은 2022년에 역성장했습니다. 2022년에 실적 좋기가 사실 쉽지 않은 시기였죠.

First Solar의 영업이익입니다. 2020년 12월 323백만달러, 2021년 12월 439백만달러, 2022년 12월 (-280)백만달러의 영업이익이 발생하고 있습니다. 2021년까지는 실적이 잘나왔습니다. 그러다가 2022년에 영업이익 적자를 기록했습니다.

2020년 12월 398백만달러, 2021년 12월 468백만달러, 2022년 12월 (-44)백만달러의 순이익이 발생하고 있습니다. 2022년에 역시 영업이익과 마찬가지로 순이익 적자가 나왔습니다. 금리인상이 여러 기업들 파산시키는데 First Solar역시 적자를 기록했어요. 이렇게 규모있는 기업이 적자가 나왔습니다.

2020년과 2021년은 First Solar는 역성장했습니다. 많이 아쉬워요. 2022년에 부진했지만 주가가 많이 떨어지지 않은 것 보면 시장의 기대가 아직 좋은게 아닌가 싶습니다.

First Solar의 PER입니다. 2022년 12월 기준으로 First Solar의 PER은 170입니다. 정말높습니다. PER170이라니. 다른 기업 주식을 사는게 훨씬 안전하겠죠. 너무 높습니다.

First Solar의 EPS입니다. 2020년 12월 3.73$, 2021년 12월 4.38$, 2022년 12월 (-0.41)$의 EPS가 나오고 있습니다. 한주당 가치는 꾸준히 증가하다가 2022년에 마이너스 나왔습니다.

First Solar에 투자하고 싶으신 분은 First Solar에게 무슨일이 벌어지고 있는지 이해해야겟죠. 금리인상 때문에 비용발생이 높아져 적자가 난건지, 아니면 시장에서 경쟁에 밀리고 있는 것인지 등을 파악하고 난 이후에 투자하는게 중요한 것 같습니다.
